Match report
Dunstable Town produced a fine performance to defeat Cockfosters in the Gladwish Trophy on Saturday having previously been defeated by their opponents the previous week in the league. Town went behind in the opening minute when George Lutaaya scored with ease. The Blues responded well and equalised midway through the first half when Mulik Rickman played a fine pass into Jim Burnside who calmly slotted past Connor Sansom.
Rickman then scored a fine goal of his own when he whipped a curling effort from 25 yards into the net to make it 2-1.
After the break Lewis Smith hit a superb free kick over the wall from twenty yards into the top corner to extend Dunstable’s lead.
Cockfosters pulled one back when Junior Mubaiyi scored in the 57th minute.
Town sealed the win when James Sales did extremely well down the left and cut the ball back to Luka Lodder to score with ease to make it 4-2.
Team: Rose; Butt; Kenna; Madu; Robinson; Hall; Rickman; Lodder; Mills; Burnside.
